The Managing Benefits Foundation and Practitioner course is a 5 day course covering both the Foundation and Practitioner syllabus. On the course you will cover the Principles, Practices and Techniques of the Managing Benefits Framework. By the end of the course you will have a detailed understanding of the Framework and have the tools to allow you to manage or participate in a benefits management environment in your organisation more effectively. The Managing benefits Foundation exam is taken at the end of day 3 while the Practitioner exam is sat on the morning of day 5.
The Foundation exam tests your knowledge and comprehension of the Framework. The Foundation exam is a 50 question multiple choice paper. To pass the paper you need to score 25 out of 50 (50%). The exam is closed book so you are not allowed to use any materials to complete the paper.
The Practitioner exam tests your application and analysis of Managing Benefits. The exam is a 3 hour multiple choice paper. In the exam there are 4 questions each based on a Mananging Benefits syllabus area. Each question is worth 20 marks giving a possible 80 marks to be achieved in the exam. The pass mark is 40 marks (50%). The exam is open book although it is only the Managing Benefits manual you are allowed to use during the exam. By passing the Practitioner exam you will demonstrate that you not only have a good knowledge of benefits management but that you can also apply the framework in an appropriate environment.
The Practitioner course is ideally for individuals who are currently performing a role in an organisation’s benefits management environment or who would like to move into such a role in the near future.
