Managing Successful Programmes - MSP®

What is Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)?

MSP is a globally recognised standard for the delivery of transformational change. While good project management practices focus on deliverables or outputs the MSP framework focus is on the delivery of outcomes and benefits. The framework is ideally suited to the delivery of transformational change often in a complex or multi-organisation environment.

The framework is based around seven principles. These provide the basis upon which successful  transformational change can be delivered. In addition, the framework describes the governance structures which need to be implemented when considering this level of change. These themes also support the transformational flow which describes the activities needed to be carried out to successfully deliver the required change from identification of the programme through to its successful delivery.

The major focus of MSP is on the delivery of the benefits the change is seeking to achieve. As a result it not only focuses on delivery of outputs but also on the transition of these into the business environment ensuring that they achieve the required benefits.
