Alvin is a portfolio/programme and project manager with over 30 years experience in the Public Sector including 15 years in general business management gained whilst working for Registers of Scotland Executive Agency (‘RoS’) as a Senior Manager/Director. He holds an MBA from the Open University. He is an UKAS accredited PRINCE2® practitioner and approved trainer, is an MSP® (Managing Successful Programmes) Registered Practitioner (Advanced) and approved trainer, an MoP® registered practitioner and approved trainer and a Managing Benefits™ Registered Practitioner and Approved Trainer . Alvin is currently an APMG Registered Consultant for Managing Benefits, MoP, MSP and PRINCE2 . He is a member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM) and APMP certified He participated as a member of the Scoping and Review Group for the refresh of PRINCE2 (2009).
Alvin was the winner of the PRINCE2 Prize in 2002 for the innovative implementation of PRINCE2 in RoS. He has also gained experience in the areas of business change and analysis, PFI/PPP issues, contract and supplier management, electronic service delivery and office automation, electronic records and knowledge management and the development of business strategy. He is an experienced international Trainer and Consultant and has provided project management training and consultancy in a number of Countries including Croatia, Slovakia, Republic of Ireland, Germany, Nigeria, USA and Canada. Alvin has provided external advisor services to the UK and Scottish Government for OGC Gateway™ Reviews, Project Support and Project Reviews for their Centre of Expertise. Alvin has just completed a major PRINCE2 Implementation for Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Ottawa, Canada.
